why fish sauce?

  • Most fish sauce is made from Anchovies, which are being over-fished around the world.

  • Anchovies are an important food source for marine predators and overfishing can lead to starvation for whales, salmon, sea birds and other marine predators that rely on them as a dietary staple.

  • Although anchovies can reproduce quickly, a study found that they are actually three times more likely to collapse than slower breeding species like sharks.
